Ebay item 4/16/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Jaguar-E-Type-Roadster-Convertible-/182531510324
Car has a buy it now price of $75,000 for 6 days, seller spartanfootball2010, 55k miles, car now said to be in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
Sellers description:
My intention was not to build a concourse quality car but a very nice driver quality Jaguar. The original color was light blue or baby blue with dark blue interior. Numbers matching! I painted it British Racing Green with a biscuit interior because that is such a classic British color.
The original top was vinyl dark blue. It now has a cloth black top with a tan interior to match.
I bought the car around three years ago and stripped it to bare metal and had the body media blasted. We put it on the rotisserie for the restoration.
I did not rebuild the engine because it was a good running 4.2 L and didn't need to be rebuilt. It has a rebuilt water pump. The flywheel was resurfaced. I painted and polished and cleaned the engine to make it look new. The transmission also worked well so I just cleaned it and replaced the clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing.
All the black parts were powder coated and all the silver parts on the suspension we're also powder coated. The rear - IRS was rebuilt. The components were media blasted then powder coated except for the red parts which were painted.
The exhaust system was was in good condition so I just painted it silver. The rear chrome resonators look to be original. They were cleaned and polished but they are not new.
The entire convertible top structure was sandblasted and painted individually and put back together. It has a brand-new wood bow.
I purchased brand-new Dayton wire wheels and new Vredestein tires.
My mechanic who is a retired jaguar mechanic who used to work on these cars when they were new did all the electrical work. He installed the gauges and lights. He went through all the brakes and fuel lines and rebuild & adjusted the carburetors.
The brake calipers on the rear were lined with stainless steel sleeves and restored by White Post restorations.
All new wiring harness for the entire car.
The door glass in the windshield are original and they are not perfect (they are driver quality).
Front and rear bumpers are new and fitted to the car. No other chrome on the car was redone they are original OK looking but not perfect. I would say some need to be redone. The car has 0 miles on it and it has not been driven since the restoration.

Car returns to ebay 3/9/18
www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Jaguar-E-Type/183117390626
Car has a buy it now price of $95,000 for 6 days, seller itsaliveauto, miles not reported, car now said to be in St. Louis, Missouri.
Sellers description:
For your viewing pleasure and driving excitement, enjoy this exquisite Jaguar Series II E-type. Documented by its Heritage Certificate as matching numbers, this car has been the subject of a high end restoration and is now full sorted and ready for its next owner to drive and enjoy. Note some of the photos show a few minor trim items (such as chrome door caps) not being present. Since these photos were taken, all of these details have been addressed. We'll be posting new photos soon. What is clear from the photos is the detail and quality of work that went into the restoration. Look closely under the bonnet. You'll see a correct new cloth wrapped wiring harness. Notice that every small engine, firewall, or subframe component has been restored to a showroom new look. Even the battery is a modern reproduction of the original Lucas part. In short, if you could go back in time to 1970 and visit a Jaguar dealer showroom, this is what you would see. Underneath, the car looks as good as it does from the top. Again, appropriate attention was put into making sure no small detail was left undone. Most importantly, this car drives as great as it looks. It literally needs nothing except you in the driver seat. This is not the lowest price Series II E-type you can find but we respectfully submit it is a great value. Conservatively and critically speaking, this is at minimum a strong number 2 condition car. The Hagerty Insurance valuation database puts a #2 condition 1970 E-type roadster at $114,000. Our shop is only one mile from the St. Louis airport. If you are seriously interested in a Series II with a top tier restoration, we invite you to come in and see and drive this car. You will not be disappointed.
