Opening bid $29,900 reserve not met no bids yet, 6 days left in auction. 24k miles.
Sellers description:
Jaguar 'E" Type Series 2, 1970 Red Roadster
I fell in love with this classic red jaguar roadster the first time I layed my eyes on it. This is a very pampered, garage kept driver for the sporting enthusiast. My wife and I have participated in several concours de elegance road rallys and spent numerous warm afternoons driving through the beautiful Pennsylvania countryside. I am looking now to buy a Series I.
I purchased this jag from a proffessor at a local University several years ago and have since replaced the brakes, exhaust system, engine mounts and have it completely checked over each year by a very qualified classic car restoration company.
The car was completely restored sometime prior to the professors purchase of the vehicle and I have the pics of the restoration for anyone interested.

Car returns to ebay 9/21/11 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-Jaguar-E-type-Roadster-Stalled-Project-Lots-NEW-and ...
Car has a buy it now price of $27,000 for 6 days.
Sellers description:
This very special Jaguar E-type Roadster is a stalled restoration that a friend started, but because of his health could not. The car was actually a nice driver that was previously restored in what I believe was the early 1980s before he decided to take the car down to do a color change. He wanted the red car to be black with biscuit interior, so he had the entire car taken down and redone. The engine was rebuilt. He spent a lot on new parts, the car purchase and work done to the car. It is pretty hard to find a stalled project this far along and on this good of a car that was not a basket case to start. There is no rust! All numbers match and a Heritage Certificate is with the car to confirm authenticity. This car great potential to be a phenomenal car! I do know of an excellent restoration shop here in the Charlotte area, who can put this car back together. The last few pictures below of the car together are when the car was first purchased in 2008.
