Ebay item 8/2/05
cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid GBP 8,060.00 , 5 bids, 7 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
Here for Auction Is a really nice Jaguar E-type 4.2 Coupe 2 Seater sports car in the best colour of course..Bright Red. 66k miles.

The car was first registered in 1968 in the USA and is the later of the series 1, the car has just recently been Exported into the UK with all customs and duty paid and a clear tile, this means the car is ready for Uk registration once passed an MOT,fitted with the Original 4 speed manual transmission the car perfoms really well and is very responsive.

The exterior of the motor car is in good shape and the Chrome is very presentable as are the wheels, this is a very good use-able classic car,the interior is Black leather seats etc.. and carpets are black too which are as new condition, all the interior is in very good shape including the headlining which is all original, also fitted at a later date are seat belts which is a good safety aspect.

The car runs exceptionally well and fires into life at the turn of the key, at some time the car has had the Exhaust upgraded from Original but is otherwise Standard.

Offered for sale on sept 10th 2005 at Bonhams Beaulieu sale estimate £11500-£12500 Engine # 7E 16928-9
Manufactured in 1968 during this transitional period, this left-hand drive ‘Series 11/2’ Coupé was imported into the UK from the USA in December 2004. With the introduction of the Series 2, E-Types destined for the USA were fitted with twin Stromberg CD carburettors in place of the original triple SUs (which continued in Europe). This car however, has been fitted with an after-market twin SU set up and straight-through exhaust system. It is reported to be a strong runner, in good original condition, apart from a repaint in the correct colour, and with excellent interior. However, a tendency to pull to one side indicates that the brakes need attention. A total of circa 65,000 miles is displayed on the odometer. A manual transmission model finished in red with black leather upholstery, the car is offered with old State of Indiana title deed and C&E Form 386 confirming duties paid.

9/19/05 car is listed for sale at:
www.justinbanks.com/
Car is said to be located in Toulouse, South West France.

Our car was first sold and registered in the USA
The car is not currently UK Registered
All EU Taxes have been paid and I have the C&E386 for easy UK Registration
The Chassis Number is 1E35516
The Engine Number is 7E16928
There has only been one owner in the UK
There is no current MOT
There is no Current Tax Disc

I have the Indiana Certificate of Title and the Customs and Excise C&E386 form which enables the car to be registered anywhere in the EU with ease.

Once again we have found a lovely car at an amazing price. This is a 1968 Jaguar E-Type S1.5 Fixed Head Coupe, Left Hand Drive, sold new in the USA and recently imported into the EU. The car is finished in Red with Black Leather Interior and drives extremely well. All EU taxes have been paid and I have all the documentation necessary to register the car anywhere in the EU. The car is in a good useable condition and represents extremely good value as an older restoration. There is a certain amount of fettling and recommissioning to be done but the car presents well just as it is.
