Completely repainted original color by high end well known shop approx. 9 years ago. 30,000 miles. Have owned 20 years. Mechanically rebuilt, brakes, carbs, rear end, clutch,hydraulics, shocks, front and real seals. Kool Kat aluminum radiater, jet hot manifolds, Pirelli tires, gear reduction starter, new motor mounts, matching numbers and much more. All receipts available, photo documentation of repaint, have history of car back to 1st(or second) owner. All books and tools. The Classic Car Gallery is proud to offer this lovely driver quality, matching numbers 1967 Jaguar E-type Coupe. This 2-ower car has ONLY BEEN DRIVEN 26,640 ORIGINAL DOCUMENTED MILES!!! She has been sympathetic maintained over the years, and is in excellent condition. This coupe is one of the VERY RARE (less then 200 are believed to have been produced) "SERIES 1 ΒΌ" coupes. She is identical to the SERIES 1 cars with the exception of the OPENED HEADLIGHT BONET. She features 3 carburettors, toggle switch dash, small high mounted tail lights etc. The car maintains a striking presence wherever she goes. The RED paint, applied by REDLINE RESTORATION, is excellent, and all of the panels are laser straight. REDLINE RESTORATION is known for there high quality, award winning restorations, and this cars paint maintains that quality. The car is stunning from every angle. The ORIGINAL BLACK LEATHER interior is in excellent condition, and shows a lovely mild Patina. The carpets are likewise in excellent condition, and the interior trim is very nice. The exterior chrome trim is excellent, with mild pitting and patina on the bumpers. Most of the rubber trim is good, though the trim on the rear hatch is beginning to show its age. This is a correct numbers matching car, the engine and transmission are original to the car. The quality of the car is self-evident. The suspension is excellent as is the motor, transmission and rear end. The underside of the car is clean, and the exhaust is excellent. This is one of the finest running and driving XKEs we have seen. The 4.2 liter engine has high and even compression, is quick starting (she has a GEAR REDUCTION STARTER) both hot and cold, runs cool and leaks less then she should. The 4-speed transmission is smooth shifting, and the NEW CLUTCH engages properly. The wire wheels are in excellent condition, and the tires are almost new. She has an updated 4-core aluminum radiator a well-hidden electric cooling fan, and runs cool even on the hottest summer days. She still retains her original books and tools, and many receipts. The chassis is rust free, and the car needs nothing but an enthusiastic new owner. This driver quality LOW MILEAGE XKE is one of the finest mechanically we have seen, and with a little TLC could certainly be brought to another level.
