Classic Motor Cars are pleased to offer another fantastic E Type. This Series 1 E Type is finished in Opalescent Silver Grey complimented by a Red interior. Retaining its original registration of EKE926C; this is a car we know well having maintained her for 20 years. Manufactured on 4th August 1965, it left the factory with Opalescent Silver Grey colour scheme with a Black interior. Its first owners were Roe Roads of Horsmonden, Kent who owned the vehicle for 7 years until 1972 when it was acquired by the current family. As with many cars, the E Type was used daily with a recorded mileage of 78,077 in 1972. On 19th February 1975 the car was taken off the road with a mileage of 107,715
In 1998, after some years of storage the car began its rebuild. The body, interior and assembly was all carried out by P and K Thornton Restorations, Nottingham. The mechanical components were overhauled by the owner, a mechanical engineer by profession. Photographic evidence of the car's restoration accompany the vehicle. £60,000 was spent on restoration which was concluded in 2002. The history file includes a history overview, Jaguar Heritage certificate, original log book, MoTs and bills and receipts from its maintenance and restoration. A brilliant opportunity to acquire an older restoration which has stood the test of time and been well looked after since.
