According to its Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate, the E-Type offered here was originally finished in Opalescent Silver Blue over a Dark Blue interior with a Blue soft-top, just as it is presented today. It was built on 28 February 1967 and shipped new to Jaguar's distributorship in New York City, where it was sold to an R.S. Goldsamt. Mr Goldsamt allegedly owned the car for the next 22 years, selling it to an enthusiast in New Mexico. Around this time, the car was fully restored and after a minor mechanical issue while driving, the owner parked the car in his garage, where it sat for some 20 years. Well preserved in storage, the car finally saw the light of day again and received a full mechanical restoration prior to being acquired by its current, German owner. Furthermore, it was repainted in its original colour earlier this year.

Gorgeous from every angle and a true pleasure to drive, this well-restored Series I E-Type is a must-have for any collector. Following a recent repaint and mechanical restoration, this example will not disappoint.

Built on 28 February 1967 and shipped new to Jaguar’s distributorship in New York City, the E-Type offered here was sold to an R.S. Goldsamt. Mr. Goldsamt is said to have owned the car for the next 22 years before selling it to an enthusiast in New Mexico. Around this time, the car was fully restored before the owner parked the car in his garage, where it sat for another two decades. Well preserved in storage, the car received a full mechanical restoration prior to being acquired by a German owner in 2015. It was repainted in its original color of Opalescent Silver Blue before being sold back to the United States, where it has remained since.

Presented with a history file containing images of the E-Type pre-restoration and a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate certifying the vehicle retains its matching-numbers engine, this E-Type would be a fine addition to any collection.

Completed by the factory on 28 February 1967, this E-Type Series 1 4.2-Litre Roadster was originally finished in Opalescent Silver Blue over a Dark Blue interior with a Blue soft-top, just as it is presented today. Shipped to Jaguar’s distributorship in New York City, the car was sold new to an R.S. Goldsamt, who reportedly owned the car for the next 22 years. After selling the car to an enthusiast in New Mexico, the car was fully restored. After a minor mechanical malfunction, however, the car was parked in that owner’s garage for the following 20 years.

Well-preserved during its time in static storage, it received a full mechanical restoration prior to being acquired by a German owner and shipped to Europe. Upon its arrival in Europe, the E-Type received a full repaint in its factory-correct Opalescent Silver Blue in 2016 and was sold back to an American enthusiast later that same year.

Acquired by Mr. Guikas from that American owner through RM Sotheby’s in August of 2019, the car is accompanied by a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate, confirming its production details and the retention of its numbers-matching engine and cylinder head.
