ORIGINAL OWNER!!!!! Thats right, original owner! here is one of those few oppurtunites to purchase a classic car from its original owner. This 1967 e type was purchased on 7/21/67 from North County Motors Ltd. in Great Neck New York. It has spent its entire life as a garage kept automobile, the mileage is original at 53,753! I also have kept a service file for all maintenance for the past 40 years! i can tell you apart from being painted years ago, the car is unmolested in its originality. the car shows very well, remember this is not a restored vehicle it is a magnificent forty year old original owner Jag with normal wear over time.

This vibrant Series 1 E-Type bears the distinction of 41 years of devoted care by its original owner, as well as a recent rotisserie restoration. After assembly was complete on February 16, 1967, this sleek roadster was dispatched on March 13th to Jaguar Cars New York, the well-known East Coast distributor of Coventry’s exports. Finding its way to the showroom of North Country Motors in Great Neck, New York, this chic 4.2-litre E-Type was purchased on July 21st by Amil Gargano, of Douglaston, New York. An original sales invoice for the purchase shows that Mr. Gargano’s Jaguar featured chrome wire wheels and whitewall tires, and cost $5,669. Mr. Gargano’s passion for his E-Type remains evident in two ways; not only did he cherish the car for 41 years but he maintained a meticulous compilation of service records over that period that is included with the car. In 2000, Mr. Gargano moved to Florida at which time the odometer of his Jaguar displayed only 53,550 miles.
In April 2008, this car was acquired by its present owner, who set about a complete restoration that encompassed all mechanical and cosmetic considerations, and incurred over $20,000 worth of receipts. The old paint was soda-blasted so that a new finish in the original color of dark blue could be sprayed onto the bare-metal body. The original blue interior was completely reupholstered in red leather and a new dark blue cloth top and boot were installed. Mechanical work included the installation of a stainless steel exhaust system and a new correct wiring harness, as well as a rebuild of the head, gearbox, front and rear suspension, and carburetors. Brightwork was re-chromed and the exhaust manifold was porcelain-coated as per original specifications. A refurbished, period-correct Becker Europa II radio was also installed.
This Series 1 E-Type roadster is a numbers-matching example that features its original motor, cylinder head, gearbox and body panels. The car is accompanied by a full tool kit and substantial documentation, including a certificate of authenticity from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust, comprehensive service and restoration records, the original Bill of Sale, and owner’s books. Beautifully finished, powerful and eminently presentable, this dashing E-Type roadster offers show quality presentation while delivering the brisk driving experience for which Britain’s most famous sports car is renowned.
