Ebay item 7/30/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-Roadster-1966-Covered-Headlight-4-2-Roadst ...
Sellers description:
’66 XKE 4.2 Roadster thumbnail description:

* 5,500 miles since restoration including rebuilt engine
* 65,700 original miles
* All original body panels
* Black lacquer paint with black leather interior & black tops
* Matching numbers
* Original factory hardtop, tool kit, owners manual
* Same family owner since 1982 to present
* Valid PA Title & paperwork
Gorgeous ’66 glass covered headlamp 4.2 Series 1 Roadster with factory original hardtop. This E-Type has been owned by the same family since 1982. We are offering this Jaguar with a low reserve for the daughter of the gentlemen has who owned this car for the past 28 years. A technician who was involved with the restoration in 1982 has stated that this E-Type is the nicest original Jaguar that they had ever restored (Lippencott’s Jaguar restoration shop) and that all the body panels are original. Matching engine numbers on both the cylinder head and engine block (7E6080-9). The body ID tag located on the rear body panel (behind the licence plate) matches the body number on the factory data plate (4E3099). Note in the photos that the body number was also hand written on the original convertible top cover at the factory.
The factory body plate states:
* Car No (VIN):1E11688
* Body No: 4E3099
* Engine No: 7E6080-9
* Gear Box No: EJ5163
Overall presentation is very nice. Included with the car is the original tool kit, jack and owners manual. Convertible top and cover are very nice. There is a minor flaw on the right door and on the rear boot lid. The black lacquer paint is very presentable but is showing a couple of lacquer aging marks. The black leather interior is stunning. Chassis is completely rust free. Recently shown at Carlisle Import (May 2010), this E-Type was continually showered with compliments describing a beautiful woman :-) It truly is very beautiful.
The E-Type Series 1 glass headlight covered 4.2 Roadster is one of the most desirable Jaguars and destined to continue to grow in value. The XKE has a valid Pennsylvania title and is sold as is where is with no written or implied warranty.
