Additional description from above auction:
According to the car's JDHT certificate, which accompanies the sale, chassis 1E10934 was completed on April 26, 1965, and was originally sold in Ohio before coming to California in the 1970s. In the ownership of just a few caretakers over the next three decades, the Roadster was purchased by the consignor in 2013. After conducting a thorough search for the best E-Type restoration firm, the consignor selected Dave Ferguson's respected Images Auto Body in Campbell, California, which has produced many national show champion E-Types over the past 30 years. During the ground-up endeavor, details were fastidiously attended to, including using the correct plating finishes on mechanical and structural components, triple-plating the chrome, and installing a mohair canvas convertible top complete with matching top boot.
This E-Type was originally finished in Opalescent Golden Sand with a black top and black interior; however, the consignor had the body refinished in black with a black interior and beige top; chrome wire wheels and whitewall tires accent the color scheme perfectly. Since its completion in 2015, the E-Type has been driven about 100 miles to confirm that it left the restorer in proper working order.
Offering the savvy enthusiast an unbeatable blend of a highly enjoyable drive on the open road and a stunning presence on the show field, this beautiful E-Type presents a special opportunity not to be missed.
