Ebay item 3/14/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-Jaguar-1965-XKE-Roadster_W0QQitemZ19038030 ...
Current bid $15,999 reserve not met, 4 bids 9 days left in auction. Buy it now price $27,500.

Sellers description:
This XKE spent most of it's life in Nevada. I believe the car to originally have come from Europe as the speedometer is in kilometers vs. miles. The original paint is still on the car what is left of it. Someone made an attempt to start a restoration by stripping the paint off. I have left it in this condition to show that there is no body filler on the car and to show how dry it is. The area where the spare tire goes is like brand new there is no rust at all. Around the bonnet area where it hinges has no rust as well. The footwell on the passenger side does not have to be replaced, but if you were to paint the car it is the time to do it. The car is mostly complete. The only things I see missing are the air canister cleaner, the center console, the tools and the jack. The engine turns freely. As you can see the interior is pretty shot and will need doing. Of course the car will need to be gone through as it hasn't been driven in years. The engine does not match the commission plate, but it is an 1966 E-type engine.

Car to be at auction 12/10
www.coys.co.uk/fpA207.php

Auction description:
TRUE GREATS, Royal Horticultural Halls, London
Tuesday 7th December 2010
Royal Horticultural Halls
Elverton Street, Westminster, SW1P 2PE

1965 Jaguar E-Type Series I 4.2 Litre Roadster
Lot 763
Registration Number: EU Taxes Paid
Chassis Number: 1E10935
Estimate: £22,000 - £28,000

The 1965 Jaguar offered here was manufactured as an opalescent silver grey left hand drive roadster, with a red interior and black hood, on 13th April 1965 according to the heritage certificate supplied with the car. Shipped to Jaguar Cars New York, the first owner on record was Daniel E Fletcher of Sheffield, Pennsylvania. Repainted red with a black interior and indicating 57,727 miles on the odometer, 1E10935 was imported back to the UK on 8th June 2010 and is an excellent candidate for restoration.

Supplied with a New Hampshire registration certificate, import documents and Heritage Trust Certificate, this project will provide the owner the satisfaction of bringing this great British sportscar back to life with the added benefit that it can be tailor-made to the new owner’s exact specifications in time for the E-Type’s 50th birthday celebrations.
