1965 Jaguar XKE Roadster Series 1 Serial # 1F10706 81,317 Miles This fine example was an original California rust free example. We have complete repair records from new. Vehicle was trucked across county and stored for approximately 25 years. We performed a complete nut and bolt restoration on the car 4 years ago. We have been restoring classic british cars for over 20 years and have over 70 restorations under our belt. When it comes to quality we don’t skimp. All receipts and pictures from start to finish are included. Only the finest parts were used in the restoration of this car. We specifically and meticulously balanced and blueprinted the engine for guaranteed longevity. The lightweight flywheel and clutch setup were balanced with the crankshaft, rod and piston assemblies. A camshaft specifically selected by Bill Terry of Terrys Jaguar was installed and matched to the specific workings of the engine. The triple carburetors, oversized stainless valves and forged aluminum high compression pistons all played a part in its selection. The OER Carburetors and Aluminum Intake manifold were chosen after careful dyno research by Bill Terry which showed up to 30 hp was being lost by inferior intakes from other manufacturers. The engine upon completion was dyno tested and tuned for maximum horsepower and responsiveness. The rear crankshaft seal was updated to eliminate those annoying oil stains on the garage floor. The ill fated ignition system has been updated to a billet Mallory optical distributor which looks original but has the functionality and reliability of a modern distributor. The engine is cooled by a massive aluminum radiator that was recreated to exact specifications of the original XKE radiator. All original parts have been restored and are included with the car in case they ever need to be re installed. The black interior is from Bassett Jaguar and fits exceptionally well. The convertible top and tonneau cover are from Terrys Jaguar and made of the finest cloth material and guaranteed to never leak or fade. No expense was spared on this car. The combination of the adjustable suspension and period correct D-Type aluminum wheels make this car so much fun to drive.

The seller provides a VIN of JR51E10706 in the above auction. This is probably a California car as stated with an actual VIN of J651E10706. The west coast distributor was required to apply the Jxx prefix to all Jaguar VINs at the time and they were registered as such.
