This 1974 Jaguar XKE is a Series III roadster that is powered by a fuel-injected 5.7L Chevy V8 coupled with a GM 4-speed automatic transmission. The previous owner performed the engine swap and kept the vehicle as part of a private collection before it was acquired by the selling dealer six months ago. Approximately 2k miles have since been added, the majority of which were accumulated during a recent road trip. Maintenance completed by the seller is said to have included installing a new heater valve and hoses, rear brake pads, spark plugs and wires, a fuel filter, and front shock bushings. This XKE is now being offered with a soft top and a clear Missouri title.

Per the seller, the car is believed to have been originally finished in silver and was repainted its current shade of red under prior ownership. Exterior equipment includes a quad-exit exhaust, large rubber bumperettes, and a chrome luggage rack. A replacement windshield is included in the sale.

15” wire wheels feature two-eared knock-off spinners and wear Michelin Pilot tires. New rear brake pads have been installed, and the master cylinder is also said to be a newer item.

The interior is trimmed in tan leather with matching carpets and door panels. Branded rubber mats cover the footwells, and the dash features a radio blanking plate.

A wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel with a Jaguar horn button fronts a 160-mph speedometer. The 5-digit odometer recently failed per the seller, and 63k miles are currently indicated. Approximately 2,000 miles were added by the seller. The clock is inoperable.

The fuel-injected 5.7L Chevy V8 was reportedly installed with a John’s Cars conversion kit. New heater valves and hoses, front shock bushings, spark plugs, wires, a fuel filter, and an expansion cap were added by the seller, and an oil change was performed.

Private Party Or Dealer: Private Party

This 1974 Jaguar XKE is a red-over-tan Series III roadster that is powered by a fuel-injected 5.7-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Additional equipment includes a black soft top, air conditioning, a Nardi steering wheel, a trunk-mounted luggage rack, wire wheels, and chrome bumpers and trim. The car was acquired by the current owner on BaT in June 2019, and subsequent service included replacement of the front ball joints. This modified XKE is now offered at no reserve with a clean Wisconsin title in the seller’s name.

The exterior was refinished in its current shade of red during prior ownership. Equipment includes a black soft top, chrome bumpers and trim, a trunk-mounted luggage rack, and polished exhaust exits. A replacement windshield was installed in March 2021.

Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels are fitted with two-eared spinners and 235/60 Michelin Pilot tires. Replacement ball joints were installed during current ownership, and the rear brake pads and brake master cylinder were replaced during prior ownership.

The cabin features seats upholstered in tan leather, and the matching carpets are protected by Jaguar-branded rubber floor mats. The air-conditioning system has been converted to R134a refrigerant.

The Nardi steering wheel frames an inoperative 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer, while ancillary gauges are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer is stopped at 62k miles and does not work, and total mileage is unknown. The clock is also inoperative.

The fuel-injected 5.7-liter Chevrolet V8 is equipped with tuned-port fuel injection and was installed during prior ownership utilizing a kit sourced from John’s Cars, and cooling system and ignition components were replaced during prior ownership. A fluid service was performed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission.
