Anyone know where I can verify if this vehicle was purchased at Plimley Motors in Vancouver? I am the administrator of the deceased owner who purchased the car in October 1974 from a dealer (believe Plimley but only the dealer number, 5041 is indicated on the transfer) Unfortunately the original documentation of the purchase was lost - I do have a copy of the original transfer but now wonder if this may have been a return/trade in as there is a previous registration number indicated on the transfer and the vehicle was imported to Canada in May 1974. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Isaac Bull, New Westminster BC Canada

I am the original owner of this 1974 Jaguar XKE roadster 1S25625. I purchased the car new in May 1974 from Motor Sales (1961) Ltd, trading in my sable 1970 xke. The car was Zeibarted and mud flaps installed prior to deliver. I carefully broke in the car the first 1000 miles and in the summer of 1974 took the car on a road trip to Banff and Jasper. I enjoyed the car the remainder of the summer. In late Sept my salesman Jerry Hillier at Motor Sales called having a buyer for the car and with winter on the way I decided to sell. The car had just under 4000 miles at the time. The car was shipped to Vancouver to dealer 5041 Fred Deeley British Cars 901W Broadway Ave. Vancouver B.C. and sold to A. Wold a member of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra who kept the car in his collection for approx 46 years regularly maintaining and exercising the car accumulating approx 10,000 miles. In 2021 Mr Wold's estate offered the car for sale with Silver Arrow Cars in Victoria B.C. where I discovered it and purchased the car again. Currently the car has approx 14,800 miles and is in excellent original condition and has been maintained mechanically and cosmetically with Silk Cat Automotive in North Vancouver B.C.
