Car to be at auction 8/14
www.mecum.com/lot-detail.cfm

Auction description:
Lot S157 Monterey 2014 Aug 14-16
Year 1974
Make Jaguar
Model E-Type
Body Roadster
VIN/SERIAL UE1S25577

This 1974 E-Type Series 3 is possibly the world's finest and most original, still with its carefully preserved original Sable paint and immaculate Biscuit interior and with just 1,063 miles on the odometer. Documentation records the car's mileage when it was fitted with replacement tires to preserve the originals, which are now back on the car, along with the original chrome wheels. The unimaginably 12-cylinder engine is said to have amazed representatives of the Jaguar Club of North America who inspected the car. This one-of-a-kind Series 3 includes air conditioning and the original soft and hard tops, both Black. This fanatically preserved Series 3 is, in a word, amazing.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
