Private Party Or Dealer: Dealer
This 1974 Jaguar E-Type is a Series III roadster that is finished in Old English White over a red interior and is powered by a numbers-matching 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a black hardtop, a black soft top, chrome 15″ wire wheels, disc brakes, power steering, a luggage rack, leather seats, and an AM/FM stereo. The car was recently acquired by the selling dealer from the previous owner of 30 years, and an inspection was carried out in anticipation of the sale. This Series III E-Type is now offered at no reserve with partial service records, a tool kit, a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, owner’s manuals, and a clean Ohio title.
The body is finished in Old English White and features chrome bumpers, bumper guards, a louvered hood, quad central exhaust outlets, a trunk-mounted luggage rack, and a black soft top that is shown fitted above. A black hardtop is included in the sale.
Chrome 15” wire wheels feature lobed knockoffs and wear older 205/70 Dunlop SP Sport tires. Four-wheel disc brakes were standard as was independent front and rear suspension.
The interior features red leather seats along with matching carpets protected by black rubber floor mats. Amenities include air conditioning, an AM/FM radio, a locking glove compartment, an analog clock, and an ashtray in the center console. Fading is noted on the seats and center armrest.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and 7k-rpm tachometer, while centrally mounted gauges monitor voltage, oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 36k miles.
The 5.3-liter V12 features quad Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was factory rated at 264 horsepower. The selling dealer states that an oil leak is present and that coolant leaks from the radiator.
Engine stamping 7S16739 LA matches the data plate on the firewall.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the image gallery.
Owner’s manuals are included in the sale, along with literature, a tool kit, and a knock-off hammer.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate lists factory colors, identification numbers, and a manufacture date of March 29, 1974.
