This 1974 Jaguar E-Type is a Series III roadster finished in silver over a black leather interior and is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car was manufactured in April 1974 and was reportedly purchased by the previous owner in 1986. The seller acquired the car in 2017 and commissioned a refurbishment in 2019 that included a color change from Primrose Yellow over tan, a European bumper conversion, a suspension and brake overhaul, and more as detailed below. Equipment includes a black convertible top, a black top boot, air conditioning, a Moto-Lita steering wheel, an AM/FM radio, a stainless exhaust system, four Zenith carburetors, four-wheel disc brakes, and 15″ chrome knock-off wire wheels. This Series III E-Type roadster is now offered with refurbishment photos and a clean Louisiana title in the seller’s name.

Previously Primrose Yellow, the body was stripped and refinished in silver during the 2019 refurbishment. Additional work in 2019 included a new black convertible soft top, a black top boot, a replacement electric antenna, new headlight elements, and European-style bumpers including a stainless front and chrome rear bumper with overriders. A replacement Triplex windshield was installed, along with a replacement grille and rubber seals on the doors, windows, trunk lid, and hood.

The 15″ chrome knock-off wire wheels were replaced in 2019 and are wrapped in 205/75 BFGoodrich Silvertown Radial red-stripe tires. According to the seller, additional work in 2019 included a brake system overhaul with replacement rotors, calipers, and flex lines as well as a replacement power brake servo and master cylinder. The suspension was refurbished with new ball joints, new shocks, and polyurethane bushings, and the power steering pump was rebuilt.

The interior was trimmed in tan at the time of the seller’s purchase and was refurbished in black as part of the 2019 work using parts sourced from Aldridge Trimming of Wolverhampton, England. Replacement parts included the black leather seat upholstery, black carpets, matching door panels, the dash top pad, black seat belts, and the trunk trim panels. Amenities include a refurbished air-conditioning system, a British Leyland AM/FM radio, and a padded center console armrest. The seller states that the wiring harness and the heater core were replaced in 2019.

The wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer. Ancillary instruments in the center of the dash include an analog clock and gauges for battery voltage, oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 68k miles, approximately 500 of were added by the seller since 2017. True mileage is unknown.

The 5.3-liter V12 features four Zenith carburetors and was reportedly overhauled in 2002 during previous ownership. Service performed in 2019 included rebuilding all four carburetors, replacement fuel lines and fuel pumps, a new fuel tank, a replacement water pump, new coolant hoses, replacement thermostats, new accessory drive belts, and a Revotec electric cooling fan conversion.

The engine identification stamp reads 7S15549LA and matches the engine number listed on the underhood identification plate.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission, and the seller states that the clutch assembly was replaced in 2019 along with the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. A stainless steel replacement exhaust system is fitted.
