Ebay item 11/7/05

Opening bid $29,999, no bids yet, 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This auction is for a 1974 Jaguar XKE V12 convertible with 29000 miles. This was the last year for the XKE v12's. The color is sable brown with tan leather interior and top. That transmission is an automatic 4 speed. The transmission and engine have never been touched and work perfectly. This car was purchased for $35000 in 1989 with 28500 miles on it. I do have all paperwork with vehicle including original purchase receipt from 89. The car is for sale locally so I will entertain any serious offers.

The car just went and had an overhaul with a new gas tank and tuned and rebuilt the carbs all work totaling $8500 from Elias Imports of MN. It was also inspected and they found a small leak in the oil pan, but wasn't leaking enough to warrant any repair. All four carbs are tuned and extremely reliable in cold or warm weather. The interior and top is a recent restoration by G.W. Bartlett CO. and is in very good condition with no rips or tears. The hood has a scratch from an unknown cause which shouldn't be too difficult to fix. The air conditioning is not connected, but will be included if you choose to reinstall. The compressor is installed but the hoses need to be reconnected for it to work.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
