Imported into the United Kingdom from the United States and registered VMR987M in August 2018. For sale at DD Classics of Kew for £79,950. Seller's description below.

As per its Heritage Certificate, this glorious roadster is finished in its original colour combination of Old English White coachwork with Russet Red hide, a Black soft top and tonneau cover. Built in left hand drive form on 26th February 1974 making this particular example a late car, it benefits from air conditioning and inertia seat belts. On being acquired by DD Classics UE1S25020 has undergone significant mechanical refurbishment with a huge amount of attention paid as follows:

Removing the rear axle and overhauling like new, completely new brake system with new master cylinder, discs, callipers, hoses to front and rear of car, complete new exhaust system from the manifolds to the rear fantail exhaust pipe, complete set of cooling hoses and header tank, refurbishment and correct setting of all carburettors, wishbones, bushes' steering rack gaiters, front and rear dampers and new chrome throughout. Standing proudly on chrome wire wheels it is fully prepared on the button.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
