Car has a buy it now price of $49,000 for 12 days.
Sellers description:
Here is a nicely maintained and well-loved vehicle that has been owned by the same owner for 40 years. This is truly a gorgeous 1973 Jaguar XKE Roadster -- one of the sexiest cars ever built. This roadster has always been garaged and looks stunning. This car is truly a reliable "driver" and carries the distinguished look and style that a classic E-type offers.
For those of you who have always to wanted to actually DRIVE and not just LOOK at a beautiful E-Type, then this is your chance.
A conversion in 1987- was fitted with a Chevy 350 V-8 Engine and a new transmission. All of this slips under the stock bonnet neatly to keep it under wraps. Soon after, the car was completely restored and overhauled with a heavy duty radiator with dual fans, new upholstery, new leather, new carpeting, new paint and more. Also the car has been equipped with a kill switch for added security. The car sports its original spoke rims with Pirelli tires and new front shocks were just installed. The A/C and the original clock are currently not working . Installed is a aftermarket AM/FM/ Cassette player.
In 2003 the car was hit from behind while stopped at a red light. No frame damage. The car was fully restored. The work was done by Steve's Jaguar in Canoga Park, CA (Serving the Greater Los Angeles Jaguar Community Since 1981). Additionally, the car includes its original hard top (black) - something you don't often see or find. The top is in excellent shape. as well as the canvas rag top and tonneau cover.
The car runs and drives very well and stopping nicely, transmission shifts nice and tight, with no known mechanical issues. Serviceability, part availability and cost, fuel economy and reliability are just a few of the benefits
