According to its accompanying Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, this particular example was built on 12th October 1973 and dispatched to British Leyland, New York some three months later. Originally finished in Pale Primrose Yellow with Cinnamon leather upholstery, the E-Type was purchased new by R. Daniel Woods of Stockton California from his local dealership Norman Nock Imported Cars as a 50th birthday present to himself on April 19th 1975. Acquired in preference to a Porsche, the V12 Roadster was still in Mr Woods' possession past his 90th birthday by which time it had covered a mere 19,000 miles from new. Resident in California until entering the current (second) ownership last year, the Jaguar has since been treated to sympathetic recommissioning and a repaint in its initial hue (the latter due to sun-bleaching). Understood to be highly original even down to the preservation of its factory-fitted exhaust and air-conditioning systems, the E-Type nevertheless reportedly had its Borg Warner automatic transmission overhauled at 15,000 miles. A real `timewarp' that pleasingly retains its original interior (complete with Black vinyl hood) and `matching numbers' V12 powerplant, `KRB 581N' has yet to record 20,000 miles on its odometer. Part of an E-Type collection that is being regretfully downsized, this remarkably low mileage Roadster is offered for sale with its original handbook (plus associated wallet), lubrication chart, wiring diagram, British Leyland `Passport to Service', stopping distance chart and seatbelt leaflet not to mention a fresh MOT certificate.
