Ebay item 8/15/14
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XK-Convertible-1974-Jaguar-XKE-V12-Convertible-40k-miles ...
Car has a buy it now price of $59,999 for 20 days.

Sellers description:
I am selling this car for a family friend, he is the original owner of the car. With just over 40,000 miles this car is virtually all original.

This is a 1974 Jaguar XKE V12 manual, convertible with Air Conditioning in British Racing Green with a tan interior. This car was garaged its entire life in Rumson, NJ.

Car runs and drives excellent, needs absolutely nothing. As I said this is a 1 owner car, he even has the original bill of sale and window sticker.

The paint is not perfect, but it looks great and is all original with the exception of the driver's side rear quarter panel. It was repainted a few years back after someone keyed the car when parked in a shopping mall lot. No body work was needed, but it did need to be repainted.

There are other small nicks and dents in the driver side door and the sill in front of the driver side of the windshield. These are very minor but I know that anyone looking into a car like this would like to know all the details.

Tires are not dry rotted and have plenty of tread left. The wheels themselves are not the originals on the car, but the originals do come with the purchase. It was just easier to take care of the ones on the car over the original chrome wheels.

The interior is very clean, with only 40k miles the leather is in great shape and the dashboard is perfect, no cracks.

The soft top did have a small repair done to it on the driver's side, it actually looks very good and is structurally sound, no leaks.

The trunk is clean, comes with the original spare and tools.

Engine bay looks good, could use a steam cleaning but overall in great shape.

Overall this car is in excellent condition for being 40 years old, knowing it came from 1 owner who babied it the entire time, it is highly desirable. If this car was repainted and the interior redone, it would easily sell around six figures, but the owner doesn't have the desire to go this route.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
