Car to be at auction 7/15
www.coys.co.uk/auction.php

Auction description:
Lot 160 - 1973 Jaguar E-Type Series III Roadster
Estimate: £38,000 - £45,000
Registration Number: TBC
Chassis Number: UE1S23248BW

This lovely Series III E-type was dispatched by the factory to British Leyland in New York, and supplied from new with a factory hard top, chrome wire wheels, air conditioning and an automatic gearbox.

Described by the vendor as being in good condition in all respects, this roadster presents well in the colours of Regency red with Cinnamon trim. The car has benefitted from an older restoration, and still remains in remarkable condition. The odometer shows a mere 4,600 miles, most likely as a result of being set to zero following the restoration, as was the trend at the time.

Offered with a UK V5, this later version of the classic E-type, with V12 power, makes a fabulous Summer tourer with which to cross the country, or even the continent.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
