59,988 MILES, ON EBAY 02/08, SELLER WRITES:
An exceptional unmolested barn-fresh (garage really!) find!! A completely rust free example of this coveted original southern California owner 1973 Jaguar XKE Series III 2+2 coupe with the V12 engine and with all of it's original factory specifications and options intact including original factory burgundy paint, original black leather interior, power steering, air conditioning and all five original wire chrome wheels! Purchased not running from original and only southern California owner and have been told it has one blown piston. The car has no rust whatsoever with the floor boards and all the typical rust-prone areas all completely solid and rust-free! The car has had no accidents of any kind and has a completely straight body with only very minor imperfections and a small area of paint peeling on the hood (see photos below) - obviously a garaged southern California car since new! The car looks extremely impressive with it's original factory 'Burgundy' color paint and it's original black leather interior which is also in complete and original condition with only fairly minor imperfections; in particular the driver's seat base is torn (see detailed photo below) but the door panels, headliner, dashboard, passenger and rear seats and carpets are all fine original condition with no major flaws. The factory chrome wire wheels are also in great shape and the car has it's original spare wire wheel located in the trunk. This is a rare opportunity to own a completely rust free example of an always garaged colpletelt factory original southern California 1973 Jaguar XKE 2+2 most desirable Series III coupe in very fine condition throughout - owned for over thirty years by only one mature southern California female owner and garaged undriven for almost twenty years since 1989! Although obviously far from a concours example, this remains a very rare and highly desireable rust free unabused E-Type Jaguar being offered with a very low reserve price! Perfect candidate for the Jaguar mechanic or enthusiast to restore
