This 1973 Jaguar E-Type 2+2 coupe is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and it is finished in dark blue over blue leather upholstery. Equipment includes 15″ knock-off wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, power-assisted steering, a replacement exhaust system, air conditioning, Smiths Instrumentation, quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, and an Audiophase CD stereo. The car was acquired by the current owner in North Carolina in 2018. This Series III E-Type coupe shows 73k miles and is offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a clean North Carolina title in the owner’s name.

The bodywork was refinished in dark blue under previous ownership and features exposed headlights, V12 badging, and chrome-finished bumpers with overriders as well as a left side mirror, pop-out rear windows, and four centrally-mounted exhaust outlets.

Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels are secured with knock-off hubs and are mounted with 205/70 Michelin Destiny tires. The car was factory-equipped with power steering. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.

The interior features front bucket seats and a contoured rear bench upholstered in blue leather along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Appointments include a heater, air conditioning, a locking glovebox, three-point seatbelts, and an Audiophase CD stereo.

A leather-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as a Kienzle analog clock and auxiliary gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level that are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 73k miles, approximately 500 of which have been added under current ownership.

The 5.3-liter V12 features single overhead camshafts for each cylinder bank and is fed by quadruple side-draft Zenith-Stromberg carburetors. Factory-rated output was 272 horsepower and 303 lb-ft of torque.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a 3.31:1 rear gear.

A tag on the firewall shows the VIN UDIS74984BW, and the VIN on the current North Carolina title is UDIS74984.
