This 1973 Jaguar XKE is a Series III 2+2 coupe is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The car was acquired 12 years ago by the seller in Victoria, British Columbia after reportedly being found in the Arizona desert by a previous owner. Finished in silver over blue leather, it features chrome wire wheels as well as four Stromberg carburetors and received engine bay freshening over the winter of 2016-2017. This E-Type is offered with partial service records and British Columbia registration in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in silver and retains 1973 US-market items including front bumper overriders. Detailed photos show the condition of the paint and body, and the seller notes the presence of a dent on the driver’s door visible up close from the side along with scrapes above the left-side rear wheel. The license plate lights are reported to be inoperative, while the reverse lights are said to work intermittently.

Chrome-plated 15″ wire wheels with earless knock-off nuts are mounted with Hankook Mileage Plus whitewall tires. A matching spare wheel with an older tire is located under the floor of the upholstered cargo area, which is accessed via a side-hinged rear hatch. The seller notes that areas of the trunk appear to have been painted blue at some point.

The 2+2 interior is trimmed in blue leather with matching carpets and shoulder belts featuring Jaguar logos. A leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts Smiths gauges including a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a five-digit odometer which shows approximately 50k miles. An older cassette radio is fitted. Two dashboard lights are said not to work.

The 5.3-liter V12 was factory-rated at 264 horsepower and drives the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The engine was removed during the winter of 2016-2017 for repainting of the engine bay as well as exhaust, cooling, and electrical work. The seller reports that the electric cooling fans have been modified with an override direct power switch for use in the event of a thermal switch or relay malfunction.
