This Collector's car have been gone over mechanically and cosmetically by expert Jaguar restorer/mechanic. References can be provided. Nothing to do but drive the car and enjoy it. This cars have the beauty of the E Type and the famous and fast engines that complimented the LeMan races. 1973 was the best year of the lot.

Why does Jagman tabulate "back on ebay 01/08". What possibble contribution does he make? It is clear that anyone bidding on E-Bay more often than not is trying to get the vehicle for geometrically less than it is worth and like a zit you have Jagman with his "back on ebay" business....very annoying.

Good point, advice taken.

I disagree.... as you probably can tell by my multiple "back on ebay" entries. This site is NOT about ebay, ebay bidders or buyers and sellers, its about the CARs, their histories and current events. These entries are a snapshot in time, relative values vs condition, what people thought its worth was at this time and date. We expect/hope people will be looking at this site for histories 20 years from now. Would you be happy that someone truncated this info 20 years from now? Don't think so.

That said the car is back on ebay 3/2/08

Opening bid, $65,000 reserve not met, no bids yet, 9 days left in auction. Car is now white. 22k miles.

Sellers description:
THIS CAR IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION
Purchased 4 months ago after having been in storage for a number of years, we installed new brakes, new hoses, belts, cleaned the fuel tank, changed all the fuel lines, changed all the fluids and filters, adjusted the valves, new fuel pump, new tires, refurbished the air conditioning system, and then proceeded to strip the old paint and refinished the entire car, including the leather seats. The car is still very original. The wheels are in great condition and there is no rust underneath. She runs like a champion.

The car comes with a blue soft top and a hard top (old english white as is the whole car painted)

22,890 miles, on ebay 04/09, according to previous entry this car was Silver in 2008. Dealer writes: This E type is finished in "Old English White" and recently re-painted to a very high standard. The condition is not a ground up restoration, but rather a remarkably well kep car that was in storage for some time, therefore the low mileage showing. Upon the purchase of this vehicle a complete inspection was made at "Westside Motors" in North Miami by an expert Jaguar mechanic, who removed the Carburetors and Intake Manifolds and the first rebuilt. The radiator, hoses, clamps, Brake calipers and Rotors, Differential Assembly, exhaust, tune up, were all gone through carefully. $ 11,919.68 were spent. In addition new tires and a complete paint job which included the hard top.

The car has a hard and a sof top. It has a 12 cylinder engine that runs beautifully with a 4 speed manual transmission. It has also air conditioning. This car is part of my collection which include many fine automobiles. With the exception of the mechanical work, all the esthetic work have been done by my staff who bring my cars to a high standard (not show but close to it) to make them reliable for street use and esthetically close to a ten.

The Jaguar V12 have steadily increased in value and represent a good investment long term. This car needs nothing at the moment and is ready to go anywhere.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
