cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1973-JAGUAR-E-type-XKE_W0QQitemZ1800067049 ...
Current bid $10,000 reserve not met, 5 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This was going to be a dream car, i have no time to complete the car so here it is and for the people that wanted the car. Jaguar 1973 xke e-type, automatic, convertible, NO hard -top, all originale , was painted 1-time in the late 70"s early 80"s and its been sitting ever since with 44246 MILES. The original colour is silver and blue interior... now its a turquise blue colour faded, it needs paint and body-work and the body is straight. The car runs, the carbs were completely redone, all the water hoses (prestone) are new, radiator is new, vacuum lines, water pump new, bonnet hinges new. I have many new parts that i have been gathering, I've been taking the car out 1 once a year to drive it around the block and it has plates on it, drives like an arrow fantastic, it still needs twicking on carbs. The seats are unbolted to remove the dirty carpets that are in bags ,the windshield has a bubble in it ,the dash is cracked all gauges work , the vacum pump was removed and i have it I have all parts that came with the car like the gas tank. The car is not a turnkey yet but with a little effort you will be on your way driving one of the greatest sports cars. All in all, this is a great car to own and you will only appreciate in the future. You got a chance to own it for cheap.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
