The Sable exterior looks very elegant in combination with the tan leather interior.

Car just underwent a full inspection and all services needed were completed. Vehicle received a complete tune up, all fresh fluids, replacement of belts and hoses as needed and, cleaning of gas tank.

The car was acquired by our client around 2018 and kept stored in a climate controlled facility and used sparingly. Offered as part of his estate the car was recommissioned for sale at substantial expense at a respected local shop. The car runs and drives perfectly, and is ready for either long distance touring or rallies as well as local summer time drives.

Showing only 18k Miles, this is probably the finest Series 3 Roadster we have had the opportunity to represent. Its really a top notch car.

This 1973 Jaguar E-Type Series III roadster is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in Sable over tan leather, and features include a top boot, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, 15” knock-off wire wheels,a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an AM/FM radio. The current owner acquired the car in 2021, and $9k worth of recommissioning work in late 2023 included replacing the black soft top, repairing the heater, servicing the quadruple carburetors, electrical repairs, and fluid flushes. This Series III E-Type is now offered on dealer consignment with the owner’s manual and a clean Indiana title.

The car is finished in Sable and appears to have been repainted according to the selling dealer. Features include a black soft top, a matching top boot, uncovered headlights, a forward-hinged louvered hood, and a power antenna. The car was detailed and polished in September 2023, at which time the windshield weather seal and black soft top were replaced.

The 15″ wire-spoke wheels are secured with knock-off spinners and are mounted with 205/70 Michelin tires. The Series III E-Type was factory equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The brake fluid was flushed in September 2023.

The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in tan leather as well as color-coordinated door panels. The selling dealer believes the upholstery has been redyed. The heater and choke cable were repaired in September 2023.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. An analog clock along with auxiliary gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 18k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.3-liter V12 was factory equipped with quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was rated at 241 horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque when new. The carburetors were serviced, electrical repairs were performed, and the ignition components were replaced in September 2023.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The fuel system was cleaned and the fuel pump was replaced in September 2023.

An uninstalled luggage rack is included in the sale along with records.
