This E Type in iconic Signal Red with Black hide and Black mohair soft top, has been in the same ownership for the past two decades. The car underwent significant restoration commencing in 1997 which was completed around 2000. A lot of thought and detail went into improving the overall drive when it was converted to right hand drive and the original automatic gearbox was removed and uprated with the highly desirable 5 speed Getrag box. In addition inertia seat belts, chrome wire wheels with twin ear spinners and Moto Lita steering wheel were fitted.
It benefits from a comprehensive, recent recommissioning completed in October 2018 with marque specialists costing £13,557 including removing the rear axle and overhauling the complete brake system with new master cylinder, discs and callipers, new cooling hoses and wishbones. Imported from the United States in the 1990's, the car was UK registered in 2006. It comes with a large history file including £54,000 of service invoices and original BL service book. Mileage recorded at 59,805 miles.
