Sellers description:
Might be one of the finest XKE V12’s in the world. This Jaguar was the baby of a fanatic who cared and massaged this car like no other. I will carefully describe the numerous features of this V12. To begin with the body is near flawless. The original silver finish was matched perfectly in fact the paint quality far exceeds the original. The chrome is magnificent with all new rubber surrounds. The lower hood scoop is undamaged and has the correct chrome detail. The body fit and lines are near perfection. As you can see in the pictures there is no rust or former rust. The interior speaks for itself. The leather seats again better than original. All of the carpet is new. The convertible top is special German cloth as is the boot cover. The glass including the windshield is perfection. Please note the special chrome bezels on all of the instruments. Also the original cantankerous seat belts have been replaced with shoulder harness for added safety. Every detail has been tended to and there are no missing or broken bits. Under the hood is beautiful. This XKE is equipped with A/C but the previous owner has removed the compressor. I am sure one could reinstall this feature at minimum cost as it is a generic GM frigidaire unit. Carburetion is handled by special SU carbs all polished to perfection. K + N filters finish it off. The underhood detail is very nice. Special attention has been paid to the suspension and the brakes. The suspension includes all new Spax gas shocks, special torsion bars and rear springs. All of the bushings have been replaced by urethane ones. The brakes are Wildwood on the front with cross drilled rotors. The rears are all new likewise. In fact, I was told that the entire brake system is new. The ride, handling and braking system is second to none. The chrome wire wheels all look like they just came from the factory and in fact have stainless steel spokes for longevity. The tires of course are like new. I can not praise this Jaguar enough. Driving this car is a pure delight. If I can fault it for anything is the warm up period when starting from cold seems to take longer than usual. Perhaps this is an adjustment issue.
