Car to be at auction 7/14

Auction description:
Motor City
26 July 2014
Lot 111
1973 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 V-12 Roadster
To be auctioned on Saturday, July 26, 2014
$65,000 - $85,000
The E-Type Roadster offered here was distributed by Falvey Motor Sales Company to Jaguar Cleveland Motors, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, in early 1973. Later that year, on April 21, it was purchased by its first owner, Wally Zaremba, for $9,469.90. According to its original window sticker, which remains with the car, it was replete with chrome wire wheels, whitewall tires, tinted glass, and air conditioning. The car was finished in traditional British Racing Green with a tan interior and matching tan top, which was certainly a fitting choice for any authentic British sports car aficionado.
Mr. Zaremba maintained his E-Type for many years, enjoying it around his home in Fairview Park, Ohio. The car was driven sparingly over his 27-year tenure and was always cared for, both in its storage and during its servicing. On file are records dating from the 1980s through to 2000, when this V-12 Roadster was purchased by its second owner. In June 2000 it made its way south, to a collector in sunny Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. During this time, the car received a light repaint in the original BRG and the seats were reupholstered as original. Additionally, the car was entrusted to the professionals at Jag Repairs, of Pompano Beach, to carry out any minor sorting and updating, to ensure that this Jaguar was in perfect running order.
The paint and brightwork continue to show well, and the rubber and glass are in equally fine condition. As only the seats have been recovered, the carpets, dash, kick panels, and sills remain original and show minor wear commensurate with the car's 25,000 original miles. The owner reports that the car is in good working order and that the V-12 starts effortlessly every time. As a car that has never been apart, the engine bay appears to be largely original, with everything well-tended to and where it should be.
With only two owners from new and limited original miles, this Series 3 E-Type remains in very good condition, with straight panels, even gaps throughout, and correct factory markings attesting to its originality. Included with this E-Type is its original window sticker, warranty information, registration, mileage statements, repair manual, service receipts, and more. The jack, spare wheel and tire, hammer, and bag are also still present, as would be expected from a car that has been maintained and cared for by only two caring enthusiast owners.
