This 1973 Jaguar E-Type Series III roadster was acquired by the seller in 2011 and was refurbished in 2020. The car is finished in silver over black leather and is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a replacement black soft top, a top boot, a removable hardtop, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, 15” knock-off wire wheels, quadruple SU carburetors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an AM/FM radio, and air conditioning. This Series III E-Type is now offered in Ontario, Canada, with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate and Ontario registration in the seller’s name.
The car was finished in silver from the factory and received a body-off repaint during a refurbishmdent in 2020. Features include a replacement black soft top with a matching top boot as well as a removable hardtop, uncovered headlights, a forward-hinged louvered hood, and a power antenna.
The 15″ wire-spoke wheels are secured with knock-off spinners and wear 215/70 Pirelli P4 tires. The Series III E-Type was factory equipped with power steering. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in black leather as well as color-coordinated door panels. Interior amenities include an AM/FM radio, wind-up windows, a locking glovebox, and air conditioning.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. Gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level are mounted in the center stack along with an analog clock. The five-digit odometer shows 26k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown.
The 5.3-liter V12 is said to have been fitted with quadruple SU carburetors. Factory-rated output was 241 horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque when new.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Production Record Trace Certificate lists factory colors and serial numbers as well as a manufacture date of October 13, 1972.
The car is being sold in a province that issues a registration for road vehicles.
