    Ebay item 7/3/13
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-Jaguar-XKE-Base-5-3L-/251298732601
Current bid $20,100 reserve not met, 9 bids 6 days left in auction. 64k miles.

    Sellers description:
1972 XKE Roadster. It has the look everyone wants in a Series 3 Roadster. It is a California car with the same owner the last 20 years. It runs and drives excellent and was recently serviced. The body is very straight. The paint is older and does have some crazing and chips. The chrome is in good presentable condition with the exception of the right rear bumper guard which is dull. The antenna is missing. I believe the interior is original and it is in good condition. The top is also in very good condition. The car does have a couple typical Jaguar engine drips. All in all this is an excellent oppurtunity to purchase an appreciating classic Jaguar to drive and enjoy while upgrading its cosmetics. The car is located in sunny Mesa Arizona.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
