Seller's description:
Mileage: 70,000 km
JAGUAR E-TYPE MK III V12
Serial number: UCIS20635BW
Engine number: 7S6217SA
Mileage: 32500 Miles.
Produced in 1972, this Jaguar imported from the US in the 1980s has belonged to the same owner since 1987.
It has seen little use and although working properly, it deserved a serious refresh and therefore underwent a complete restoration for sale, completed in August this year.
The list of works carried out is long:
Bodywork; stripping then complete painting in the original British Racing Green colour.
Interior; completely redone upholstery, seats, storm doors, head restraints.
New black mohair hood. Repainted frames.
Engine and mechanics: Disassembly and repair of carburettors, replacement of filters and painting of boxes, exhaust pipes, ignition, complete cooling circuit, alternator, electrical circuit. Fuel gauge.
Gearbox, oil change and crankcase gasket change. Stainless steel exhaust overhaul.
Chassis: complete refurbishment of the front axle, change of the ball joints, of all the silent blocks, overhaul of the steering rack, new shock absorbers. Disassembly and overhaul of brakes, change of pads. Overhaul and lubrication of rear transmissions.
New tires and inner tubes. (Dunlop SP sports)
In total, more than €30,000 in costs will have been necessary to restore this car to its original luster.
Many photos are available on all the work carried out.
Today the Type E works perfectly, good oil pressure, no heating despite the high temperatures in the summer of 2022.
It's a real pleasure to drive, power and flexibility of the V12 are there, combined with the comfort of the automatic gearbox.
About 500 km traveled since the end of the restoration.
