There is an article on this car, the Lindner-Nocker lightweight, in the 5/84 issue of Ejag magazine. It says:
"The fifth car made, number 0662, was sold to Peter Lindner, Jaguar's German distributor at the time. Others went to American Briggs Cunningham, British car importer Kjell Qvale, and a whole string of Peters: Peter Lumsden and Peter Sargent shared one
lightweight E, Peter Sutcliff and another. Peter Nocker was Lindner's co-driver on 0662, with British license plate 4868 WK".
The artical goes on to say this was the car that Lindner was killed in and was impounded for many years but recently was brought out and restored and is listed for sale in the classifieds of this issue, which reads:
"Lightweight E-type No.7 (ex Peter Lindner car) out of 12 ever built, for sale after 5 years complete restoration to 100 points concourse standard and full performance (340 bhp)
for historic racing (RHD). Finished silver/black. Sayers coupe body aluminum, full
racing trim, blueprint engine - rebuilt 3.8 liter fuel injection. FIA-accepted but not yet raced again. $140k - Free US port C.I.F." The contact was in Kassel, Germany.

Now owned by Peter Neumark, owner of Classic Motor Cars, its restoration is being taken a step further with a complete rebuild of the mangled original, previously deemed beyond repair. Work, started in 2007, is being done by Pete Southan, and a history of the car is included.
