Car returns to ebay 12/13/11

Current bid $3,000 reserve not met, 1 bid 4 days left in auction. Car now in Birmingham, Alabama.

Sellers description:
I bought this car in 2007 to fully restore and add to my Jaguar collection. I was told by the seller that he drove the car on a daily basis prior to him starting a restoration. I have made no attempt to operate the car since I intended to do a complete rebuild of all mechanical parts, including the engine, transmission and rear end. The car has been in storage since I purchased it. Other than the driver's floor pan, the car is in good condition rust wise. I bought the car because I considered it a sound vehicle for restoration purposes. I was told by the person from whom I bought the car that the milage on the speedometer (36,990) is correct. Other than a couple of dents that appear to have occured when the previous owner had it in storage, the body is in good shape.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
