Offered without Reserve and from the Grand Tourers Collection, a smart example and showing less than 70,000 miles.

The Grand Tourers Collection was curated by a now deceased gentleman, who amassed some 38 cars at one stage. Each car stands on its own merits, and represents an era of stylish roadsters and hand-built coupés. Offered at No Reserve, the cars are worthy of serious attention.

The car we have before us today is accompanied by a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate that states it was built on the 1st October 1970 and factory finished in British Racing Green with beige leather and a black Everflex vinyl roof. With its five-speed manual gearbox it was destined for the United States and distributed there British Leyland, New York.

Repatriated on the 1st June 2017 joining the 38 car Collection of the previous owner, as stated by the accompanying V5C. Offered to auction at Without Reserve with a fresh MOT and pleasingly finished in the same colour combination as it left the factory. The perfect car for continental touring with arguably the best engine and gearbox fitted into any E-Type.

Osenat - Automobiles de Collection, Fontainebleau, France

Lot 93

UK Customs Clearance: 846 A Serial no. P2R14812 - Timeless lines and iconic silhouette - In-line six-cylinder, manual gearbox - 11,000 worth of recent invoices In the pantheon of classic cars, the Jaguar E-Type occupies a special place. Introduced in 1961, it immediately shocked the automotive world with its revolutionary lines, inspired by aeronautics and motorsport. Its long hood, flowing curves and racing-derived chassis made it a rolling work of art, hailed by Enzo Ferrari himself as "the most beautiful car in the world". The E-Type is not just an aesthetic masterpiece: it also offers top-level performance, thanks to its in-line six-cylinder engine and avant-garde technical design for its time. The Series 2, produced from 1968 to 1971, marked a major evolution of the model. It was distinguished by the absence of a glass fairing over the headlamps, an enlarged grille for improved cooling, more enveloping bumpers and redesigned interior ergonomics for greater safety and comfort. Under the hood is the legendary XK six-cylinder engine, here in its 4.2-liter version, renowned for its flexibility and reliability. The 2 Series also benefits from an upgraded Girling braking system and two electric fans to ensure optimum cooling, making driving more serene and suited to modern traffic. The example shown here is a 1971 cabriolet. Dressed in a British Racing Green hue and featuring a refined cream interior, it combines sportiness with English refinement. Its manual gearbox promises an authentic driving experience, which goes hand in hand with its valid technical inspection. The car underwent renovation work in 2025 at a cost of almost €11,000, and the owner tells us that the rear brakes are new. The radiator has been replaced, an electronic ignition fitted and the calipers changed, among other things. Invoices will be supplied with the vehicle file. With its iconic silhouette, this 1971 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 cabriolet is an invitation to travel back in time, to an era when the automobile was synonymous with passion, innovation and uncompromising elegance.
