Current bid $5,200 reserve not met 5 bids 4 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
beautiful 1971 Jaguar XKE convertible. Very few of these were ever built and they are still considered a classic to this day. 1971 was the last year that they were built as a 6 cylinder. As time passes they will become even more rare.

My father purchased this from the first owner in 1988. All of the numbers match. It has never been in an accident. The chrome is beautiful and shiny. I was with him when he picked it up and drove it home. It had 6900 miles on it at the time and now it has 18,700 miles. It has been stored in a garage and protected. My father passed away a few months ago and I am sorting out his estate. I have to make hard decisions and I am reluctantly selling this very rare convertible.

Body: original color is silver. The paint is in very nice condition.

Wheels/tires: Wire wheels are in excellent condition; see photos. Tires run very well and have much tread on left on them.

Interior: in very nice condition; original door, original seats, original steering wheel covered in a protector, dash in excellent condition, even comes with the original owners manuals!

Top: in excellent condition; no rips, tears, stains or signs of age or abuse. Tonneau cover is in trunk. Rear plastic window is clear.

Mechanical: The car was gone through before my father passed away and it is very drivable. It has new water pump, hoses, seals, battery, and rebuilt carberators, etc. The car starts right up immediately and runs very well with no noticeable problems.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
