This is one of the last Series II "E" Type. X.K.E. before the introduction of the Series III 12 cylinder. It has the venerable 4.2 Litre XK 6 cylinder engine which was rated at about 260 h.p. and as such the car has superb reliability, accelleration and power. I believe this is the original engine and the numbers match. The engine was overhauled in 2006 with the cylinder head and top end redone and runs like new. The paint was re-done about 3 years ago and is still in excellent shape. It is the original "Willow Green" which was Sir William Lyons (past Chairman of Jaguar) favourite colour. It is complemented with very nice green leather interior which is soft and subtle. It has the Jaguar spoke wheels and twin exhaust making it look very stylish. It also has a factory installed leather sunroof which folds back. The car has mileage of 78,000 which I believe to be correct. I have owned it for 10 years and it always gathers on-lookers wherever I go. The tires are virtually new, the chrome is very nice and the body work shows no blemishes. I had it apprised when I bought it and it was appraised then at $25,000
I have taken the car to a few shows and at one time it won first prize amongst over 250 other cars. It was recently in a movie filmed in Toronto in April this year (depicting a scene outside a pub in London England). It has been an excellent car to own...
