Ebay item 4/1/05
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Opening bid $4,000, no reserve, no bids yet, 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
I bought the car in 1997. It had been stored inside for years. I put it into running order and I drove it frequently throughout the summer of 1998. Car was shipped from Michigan to Washington D.C. area in 1999. Since then, it has always been garaged but has virtually never driven although I run the engine regularly. Starts first time and oil pressure is strong and steady. Carbs re-built, complete new exhaust, new alternator, new Brake Master Cylinder. After standing for 6 years, the car needs some care and attention but it is solid, complete and will not be difficult to get back on the road. Still looks good from 20 ft. Chrome is very good. Tires have plenty of life in them. Power steering leaks. A/C worked last time I used it. Interior is tired but usable. No evidence of accidents or bondo.

Odometer reads 18xxx. I believe that means 118k and is correct but cannot confirm

I always planned to renovate it but still have no time, so here is a great chance to buy an original, complete, unmolested and very restorable XKE with No Reserve.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
