This 1969 Jaguar XKE 2+2 is said to have been in Pennsylvania since new, and it was purchased by the seller’s father in 1990. The 4.2-liter inline-six and the three-speed automatic transmission were both rebuilt circa 1991, and the car has accumulated approximately 7,500 miles since then. Originally finished in Regency Red, the car was refinished in Carmen Red during prior ownership, and replacement black leather front seats are said to have been installed about 30 years ago. This Mk II E-Type four-seater is offered on behalf of the seller’s father with service records dating back to the 1970s, registration documents back through the 1970s, factory literature and service manuals, spare parts, and a clean Pennsylvania title in the owner’s name.

Prior to 1990, the previous owner had the car refinished in Carmen Red. Chips, dings, and flaking in various locations. The seller notes that the rubber trim is cracking and is in need of replacement; a rubber kit is included in the sale, although the kit itself is more than 20 years old.

Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels with Jaguar knock-offs are wrapped in 185-series Vredestein Sprint GT tires.

The interior is upholstered in black leather, and the front seats were replaced while the car was being mechanically refurbished in 1991. According to the seller, the front seats were reupholstered with a Connolly leather kit; the work was performed by Reigle Upholstery of Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Other interior features include an AM/FM radio and air conditioning.

A wood-rimmed steering wheel frames factory instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer. Auxiliary gauges are located at the center of the dash. The five-digit odometer shows just over 69k miles, approximately 7,500 of which have been added during current ownership.

The 4.2-liter inline-six was rebuilt in 1991 by J&L Autoworks of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The current owner had the heads magnafluxed to test structural integrity, and replacement valves were installed. The most recent significant service was reportedly performed in 2017, whereupon a replacement fuel pump was installed, the fuel tank was drained and the lines flushed, the dual Stromberg carburetors were cleaned and had their O-rings replaced, and fluids were changed.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission. The seller notes that the driver-side floor exhibits corrosion.

Service invoices and receipts dating back to the late 1970s will accompany the car along with a collection of spare parts including a set of uninstalled doors.
