This car has not been registered and off the road since 1979. the engine was removed during the late 80's and was shipped off to California to be rebuilt as was the steering rack and transmission. I painted the car for the owner in 1990. In 2002 I came across the owner again and found that the car was never rassembled. I bought the car in 2004 and have just recently started the restoration. Engine compartment has been completely removed and painted. Engine and transmission has been set. Waiting for the stainless big bore exhaust system in early January 2010

My project is slowly progressing. The fuel lines and gas tank are new or refurbished and in place and it should be running soon. At that point, the rear suspension will be removed and refurbished and plated. Would like to think this will be driveable for the 2013 show season. Now has the stainless exhaust, wirewheel conversion and a upgraded AC pump and alternator.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
