This 1970 Jaguar XKE Series II roadster underwent a repaint in Pale Primrose as well as mechanical work as part of a refurbishment completed circa 2002. The car is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six fitted with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors that is backed by a four-speed manual transmission linked with a limited-slip differential. It is further equipped with uncovered headlights, a louvered clamshell hood, and 15″ wire wheels along with a black soft top, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a push-button AM/FM radio. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2026, this XKE roadster is now offered by the selling dealer in Florida with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, a service manual, refurbishment photos, and a clean Georgia title.
Series II cars featured uncovered headlights up front along with taillights below a one-piece, wrap-around bumper out back. This example left the factory finished in Pale Primrose and was repainted in the course of the aforementioned refurbishment project completed in 2002. It wears a replacement black soft top, and further details include a louvered clamshell hood, a driver-side mirror, and dual exhaust outlets.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with 205/70 Pirelli P4000 tires. The car rides on an independent suspension, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpets. Further interior appointments include a push-button AM/FM radio, a heater, and a sliding rear-view mirror.
The drilled-spoke steering wheel has a wood rim and frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as an analog clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 8k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque when new.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists the original colors and component numbers along with manufacture on February 10, 1970, and dispatch to New York.
A collection of photos taken at various stages of the refurbishment process is included.
