Presented with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, this 1970 Jaguar XKE, Series II roadster has been in our family since March 15, 1986 and is being offered with service records. Only 1 known owner of record prior to us. Car is primrose (yellow) with black leather upholstery. Features include a black soft top, a louvered hood, exposed headlights, wrap-around chrome bumpers, a mirror mounted to the driver’s door, side reflectors, chrome 15” wire wheels secured by three-lobed knock-off hubs, four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rears and a gold Jaguar license plate frame. The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with dual overhead camshafts, fueled by dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors which sends power to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.

The interior has black leather bucket seats with headrests and a matching dashboard, console and door panels. Black carpets line the floors, and amenities include a central armrest, analog clock, heater box and a push-button AM radio. A wood-trimmed steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline. Auxiliary gauges located centrally on the dashboard display battery voltage, oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 73,430 miles.

Initially when the car was acquired, it received a restoration, overhaul/rebuild including; new starter motor, ignition switch, upholstery, convertible top, windshield, rubber trim kit, updated wiring, seat belts, lower steering column and manual steering rack, heater box including core and hoses, choke and relays, body work and paint. Presently the exterior paint has various chips/imperfections.

Beginning in 2011 through 2022 the following were repaired/restored;(2011)slave cylinder, clutch master cylinder,(2012)fuel pump,(2013)ignition switch,(2014)turn signal, horn switch, water pump,(2016)Wizard Aluminum radiator with dual electric fans installed (original radiator will accompany car),(2017) steering wheel & gear shift wood refinished,(2018)master brake cylinder,(2021)window regulators and tracks, door panels, door chrome trim, arm rests, dashboard and console, brake pads , rotors, calipers, emergency brake, and weather stripping around windows and bumpers.
