Ebay item 5/2/07
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $7,755 reserve not met, 4 bids, 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
Original owners manual is included. Factory 4-speed gearbox. Original engine, with all matching numbers. The car was restored 15 years ago and still has a very good look to it! Most of the chrome on the car is in good condition, including the chrome wire wheels. The paint is not perfect, however, shows really well. The car has a very nice engine compartment, which is all correct and original. The car runs and drives extremely well. It has a very good clutch and good brakes. Very nice steering. This model is the early 3.8 liter and therefore, it also has the non-synchronized gearbox. All the glass is good. The car has perfect frame rails on the front. It does not show any signs of accidents. The interior on the car shows really well with good door panels too. The seats are correct for the early 3.8 model. These seats are in velour. Jaguar E-Types such as this one, are really getting hard to locate so here is an excellent chance to purchase such an honest Jaguar. A 1964 JAGUAR XKE COUPE SERIES ONE: The car runs and drives very well. The chrome wire "knock offs" add to the overall splendor of this timeless classic.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
