    Sellers description:
This is a fine example of a classic that is sure to appreciate in value over the years. I have owned this car since 1976. I purchased it in Southern California and believe it to be a California car from the beginning though I can not prove this. It had no rust at the time I bought it so this is what I base that assumption on. The car was painted in January 2002. The rear quarter panels were replaced at that time. The paint job is very good but not perfect. The body is straight with no dents. The pictures below give a fair representation of the condition. The interior is new and most of the items were purchased from OSJI. The seats are leather. The console that the radio fits in is not original but is very close in appearence minus the speaker covers. The engine was rebuilt less than 5000mi ago and runs very well. The trans and rearend work fine. The rearend came with the optional 3.54 ratio and that is what is in the car today. The following items have been replaced or modified:

    Optical ignition/Crane CD ignition
    Negative ground/alternator
    A-arms chrome plated
    New exhaust system
    Sleeved master cyl and calipers
    New radiator/header tank
Out of tank SU fuel pump
    New oil pan
    Composite head gasket
    Dayton wire wheels/stainless spokes
    New tires
This car is ready to drive with no work needing done. However with a little time and detail work it would be a car that could be shown. As it is it is not a 100 point car but on a 1 to 10 scale I would give it a 9. Some detail items are not on the car at this time but I do have them; this includes the rear hatch hinge covers, the rod that is attached to the rear hatch to support it when opened, some tin panels under the dash, the windshield washer bottle and the original air cleaner assembly which is in excellant condition.

    Vehicle Condition
The car is in excellant condition and I have tried to give a fair representatiion in words and pictures. Having said that, it is impossible to describe every fault or attribute. I would strongly recommend seeing this car before making a bid

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
