An excellent paint job, no expense spared engine rebuild. Is the current JCNA Concours Class D2 National Champion. Info posted for live auction in Phoenix 1/23/04 RM auction. Auction starts at $20k. Their estimated value is $45k - $50k

Sellers comment:
This example was originally delivered in June of 1964 to California where it has remained all of its life with just four owners from new. It was the recipient of a total nut and bolt restoration to concours standards. The exterior is finished in Primrose Yellow with a black interior and comes complete with a tool roll and heritage certificate. The quality of the restoration was validated by JCNA when this example was judged overall class champion by JCNA in 2001 and 2003. Unlike so many other concours champions, this example has actually been driven (albeit carefully) and enjoyed on the open road.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
