Sellers description:
1964 JAGUAR XKE COUPE 3.8 LITRE. THIS WEST COAST CAR IS EXCELLENT FOR RESTORATION. IT HAS A COUPLE OF SMALL DENTS ON THE FRONT AND A LITTLE RUST BELOW THE FRONT BUMPER, BUT THE REST OF THE CAR IS TOTALLY RUST FREE. YOU WILL NOT FIND A CLEANER MORE RUST FREE OR ACCIDENT FREE CAR TO RESTORE. DOORS AND TRUNK HAVE PERFECT SHUTS. THE HOOD NEEDS ITS SPACER PLATES PUTTING BACK IN ON FRONT HINGES AND IT WILL HAVE PERFECT SHUT ALSO. DOORS, FLOORS, ROCKERS AND TRUNK ARE AS DRY AS YOU WILL FIND. ENGINE RUNS WITH GOOD EVEN COMPRESSION AND 100 lbs OIL PRESSURE. CAR HAS NOT BEEN ON THE ROAD SINCE 1973. THE ORIGINAL OWNER STARTED TO SAND PAINT DOWN MANY YEARS AGO, THAT IS WHY IT LOOKS A BIT UGLY. THE CAR IS THE ORIGINAL COLOR OF OPALESENT BLUE WITH BLUE LEATHER INTERIOR. CAR IS VERY COMPLETE.

Car now offered at:
www.exoticclassics.com
Syosset, New York
Sellers description:
This stunning 1964 Jaguar Fixed Head Coupe was the subject of a subframe and rear suspension-off, complete nut & bolt rotisserie restoration about five years ago by Upland, CA, based Jaguar experts "More Than Just Cars". The car was restored to concours standards and remains in superb condition. This Series One Coupe is powered by Jaguar's 3.8L 265HP Triple SU Carb engine. It is finished in the original color combination of Opalescent Silver Blue with Navy Blue leather trim. In the restoration, the car was upgraded to fully-synchromesh 4.2L gearbox with the 4.2L style servo-assisted brakes and a higher capacity cooling system. So you benefit from the high-revving 3.8L motor with gearbox and brakes best suited for high performance driving. The restoration included: Show-quality bare metal body and paintwork, new chrome and rubber, correct interior, new wiring harness, totally rebuilt and balanced engine with clutch and ancillaries, rebuilt gearbox and independent rear suspension and differential, rebuilt steering, suspension, brakes, fuel system, cooling system, stainless wire wheels and fresh tires. Beautifully detailed underneath.
