Sellers comment:
Our car is a US supplied Right Hand Drive example in White with Red Leather Interior. She has been converted from Left to Right hand drive at some point in the past. She is a Series One 3.8 litre Fixed Head Coupe. She has the manual gearbox and drives superbly. The car received a respray and new interior in 1990 and still presents extremely well. The mileage is 34,000 and I have paperwork to show this is most probably genuine. Unfortunately there is a four year gap in the MOT certificates from 1998 to 2002 so I cannot warrant the mileage as correct.
Interior:
The interior is still in superb condition with the Red bucket seats showing minimal signs of wear without being torn and the Red carpet in extremely good condition with just a small tear on the drivers side. All the dials and guages work, and all the heater controls seem to function. I would say that the interior is in a lovely used condition, not new but a very nice place to be! All the dials, guages, interior lights and switches all work as they should.
Exterior:
The paintwork is also in a superb condition with a lovely deep shine to the White paint. There is a small blemish on the drivers door but other than that I cannot see any bubbling of rust coming through. The chrome is good, although not brilliant, and the wire wheels are in a very good condition. The headining is superb and the rear luggage area is also in very good condition.
Mechanical:
The engine bay is very clean, not concours, but very acceptable. The mechanical side of the car is superb. The engine starts first time every time and pulls strongly with no smoke. The gearbox changes well, even for the notchy Moss gearbox, and is really easy too use. The suspension has no knocks, even when going over speed bumps and the car sits rock solid on the road inspiring confidence. The braking system stops extremely well.
Summary:
Everything on this car feels very tight mechanically and it is obvious the car has been well looked after all its life. I cant think of anything you would have to do to this vehicle except get in and drive away in the sunshine! This car is really in a superb condition and with the low mileage represents an excellent opportunity. This is not an award winner but a good useable, well presented car you would be happy to use daily. This is the desirable Series One Fixed Head Coupe, Right Hand Drive, in a great colour scheme, and with a superb mileage, ready to go for an extremely reasonable price.
