    Sellers description:
Original color....the car is very very solid and rust free with the exception of the driver door and some bubling under the trunk...everywhere else is very solid...q panels have been replaced ....floor pans very strong ....100% presentable driver condition....starts right up..no smoke..lots of power....gearbox shifts perfect...excellent brakes...runs awsome...all electricals sorted and functioning properly....interior is in very very good shape,....leather seats look great....dash carpets all good....console is intact ...no radio...all gages working...the steering column has some play but it drives straight as an arrow..need bushings..not a biggie....original engine....currently registered....still in driver condition very impressive and gets tons of compliments......drive it away..no joke!!!!!
The car has a matching vin ,engine and box numbers...(pics) ..the only one not matching is the number of the support in front of the engine which is a bolt on and must have been replaced sometime in the last 40 years...it is a bolt on!!!..

The q panels all look like the one n the pics..excellent shape.....The only rust on the car is on the driver door skin and some bubles under the trunk.....all else is surface and can be treated very easily...This is a very solid ...I repeat very solid car

The engine is a 3.8 gearbox is not the fully synchro one,.....doors ned to be adjusted for gaps...please include your email if you want more pics of the underside trunk pans, etc

Car to be at auction 7/16
    www.coys.co.uk/cars/1963-jaguar-e-type-series-1-3-8-litre-fixedhead-coupe

    Auction description:
    ESTIMATE £70,000-£80,000
    Auction 2016 Blenheim Palace
    Lot Number 182
    Reg. Number UK Registered
    Chassis Number 889653
    Year 1963
    Make Jaguar
    Model E-Type

The Series 1 for sale here looks fantastic, finished in white with a black interior. Originally a US car but with triple SU carburettors. It was subject to a restoration within the last ten years and described by the vendor as being both great to drive and in generally very good condition. With only 55,000 miles showing on the clock, matching numbers and coming complete with a heritage certificate, this would be a superb buy for anyone looking for a Series 1 E-Type that is ready to be driven and enjoyed.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
